The event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the formation of the International Auster Club took place on the old site of the Auster Company at Rearsby by on Sunday 25 August 2013 after being postponed for a day due to bad weather. The site now farmland was opened as a landing strip for the day. Even on the 25th the morning weather was marginal but slowly it improved and some aircraft that had made a stop at Leicester started to arrive late morning. In the end there was a good turnout of Austers in particular a good variety of the different types. Star must go to the Auster Agricola that had recently been rebuilt following its return from New Zealand.
